WyEast Acupuncture was founded by "Winnie" Xiangjun Dong. Winnie is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the states of Oregon and California.  She is nationally certified (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and certified in the state of California where licensed acupuncturists can opt to be primary care practitioners. She treats a wide variety of disorders including pain management, autoimmune disorders, digestive issues, stroke recovery, respiratory and skin disorders, and men's and women's health issues.

A native Chinese speaker, Winnie reads Chinese original texts on Acupuncture and Chinese medicine extensively. She began her study at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine where she followed famous doctors and teachers like Yuqing Xia and Rui Li. Her passion for this field of medicine also took her to further studies in acute and sequela care in the world-renowned stroke center at the Tian Jin University of Chinese Medicine (featured in the movie 9000 Needles); gastrointestinal care with the national leading specialist Xinhua Bai; moxa treatment techniques for Women's health and infertility with Kun Tao; and pain management and insomnia with "Flying Needle Acupuncturist" Dr. Ningshen Wang.

Winnie grew up in a Chinese medicine family. Since childhood, she helped out in the family-owned Chinese Medicine clinic, learning herbal recognition, processing, and dispensing. As a teen, she would recommend herbal patterns to patients seeking advice. In grade school, she read and memorized the instruction manual with acupuncture points for Tiger Balm, and provided treatment by applying tiger balm to acupuncture points to help schoolmates and friends for relief of muscular pain, common cold, digestive upset, and various pain conditions.

A passionate advocate of natural and integrated medicine, Winnie strives to motivate patients to take care of their own health via dietary change, lifestyle adjustment, and exercise.  She also gives advice on food as medicine and is a certified yoga instructor and a longtime Tai Qi Practitioner.

When Winnie is not at work, she enjoys yoga, Pilates, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.  Winnie is generous with her time and knowledge about achieving optimum health.  She reads extensively and keeps current with medical researches.  She often recommends books to patients.  She considers her life's destiny to learn, grow, promote peace, love, and harmony through optimal health. Enjoy health, celebrate life!

I have been under Winnie's care for 6 months now.  I reached out to he in search of help to find relief of migraine headaches that I've had for 30 years.  I've also struggled with fatigue, anxiety and brain fog fo the past several years.  All are debilitating and misunderstood by many.  Winnie's caing heart, true desire to help me, her gift of time in treating me as an individual and being a good listener make her a special person and healer.  Winnie has helped me regain my life back.  She has been a blessing from God.
